Tech Meet_1.0





On 8th May, 2021, a virtual meeting between the Institute Technical Council and Research Park Clients was organized by IITB Research Park Foundation. Prof. Ravindra Gudi, Principal- in-Charge, IITB Research Park gave the opening remarks and welcomed representatives from Student cells and key functionaries from the client side. The Tech Meet_1.0 was held to understand the various student initiatives carried out by the Tech Teams at IIT Bombay and possible collaboration that can take place between the member clients and technical teams.

Some of the collaboration opportunities mentioned included-

  • Workshops by industries and industry talks by leaders
  • Problem Statements for General Championship
  • Hardware/ Software tech internships for students
  • Projects in collaboration with academia

    • Mr. Tejas Sakhalkar, General Secretary Technical Affairs 2021-22, presented a general overview of the Institute Technical Council. This was followed by presentations from individual technical teams that received valuable feedback, both from the Research Park and its member clients. Tech Meet_1.0 was filled with student energy and initiatives, and saw participation from IITB Rocket Team, AUV-IITB, Tinkerers’ Laboratory, IIT Bombay Racing, Team Shunya, Exofly, Hyperloop IITB, IITB Mars Rover Team, Team Stride, Student Satellite Program, Unmesh Mashruwala Innovation Cell, and Team Rakshak. As the Research Park strives to foster industry-academia interaction, events like these are just the beginning of collaborations and discoveries to be made ahead of us.
