The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) will soon be setting up a Research Park on its campus with a grant from MHRD. Research Parks across the globe are built to promote and foster the spirit of innovation. The main objective of IIT Bombay Research Park is to build an ecosystem where academic researchers from IITB and industry partners work in close collaboration on cutting edge research problems, technology challenges and product innovation. As an initial step, IIT Bombay Research Park will host a day-long Academia-Industry-Meeting (AIM) at IIT Bombay on May 30, 2015. The one-day event will feature presentations by industry representatives on their in-house R&D activities followed by IIT Bombay faculty members showcasing the R&D activities at the institute. This event is meant to provide an interactive platform for industry leaders and IIT Bombay faculty to discuss possibilities for collaboration through Research Park.
