ASPIRE IIT Bombay Research Park Foundation participated in the ChemTECH World EXPO 2026 as a strategic experiment.
Unlike an academic conference or start-up ecosystem, ChemTECH being largely an industrial manufacturing forum brought us into conversations with industry players, plant operators, technology providers, and engineering-led enterprises which gave us a chance to test how ASPIRE lands outside familiar innovation spaces.
Being among the commercial manufacturing and engineering-led enterprises, ASPIRE drew curiosity and held valuable discussions with the visitors. Our presence at such an event brought out questions such as
- Specific Industry problem statements
- Product testing and validation at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay
- Models of collaboration that the Research Park enables
For many visitors at our booth, it was their first exposure to the Research Park model which sparked meaningful dialogue around industry–academia interface model and potential future collaborations.
